Rabbi Cy Stanway: Rabbi at Temple Beth Miriam since 1998. Previously, he served congregations in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from 1987-1990, Las Cruces, New Mexico from 1990-1998 and has been in Elberon ever since. In addition to leading the congregation, Rabbi Stanway is active in the general community and extended Jewish community.  He is an amateur radio operator (K2CYS). Rabbi Stanway's e-mail is

Cantor Marnie Camhi joined Beth Miriam in July 2012.  She brings with her her wonderful voice and spirit and her spirit lifts us all.


Stella Jeruzalmi Stanway: The administrator and Principal of our Religious School and our youth program director (TamTams, SALTeens, SALTY). Mrs. Stanway has a Masters in Educational Administration as well as several other educational degrees. She is a fluent Spanish, Ladino, and Hebrew speaker and has and extensive Jewish day school education. She is a certified teacher in New Jersey, New Mexico, Texas and Mississippi.


Rabbi Joseph Goldman (Rabbi Joe) - of blessed memory - served Beth Miriam for 28 years and retired in July 1997 succeeded by Rabbi Stanway in 1998.  Joe was the Rabbi Emeritus of Beth Miriam and always held a distinguished place of honor at the temple and is fondly remembered.  Rabbi Goldman passed away in December 2014.
